  • My parents' family first visited this church in 1989 and we decided this was where we wanted to stay. The congregation was very friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. In addition to the chapel where Sunday services are held at 9am, 11am, and 1pm (as of the time of this review) to which anyone can attend, there are youth programs, a children's "primary", and a women's group (the Relief Society). Young singles and youth often meet to play basketball and volleyball in the cultural hall. They took me in as a child and now my own children attend when we are in town.

  • I have found something special about this place, this church. I got here about 5 months ago and walked in a little worried over how things would go, but soon fond a happy niche all my own within the congregation. Time takes care of those things with these people— they may not be perfect (who is?) but those core qualities of love, compassion, and just general friendliness mixed with a truly profound cause have kept me coming back. Christ is the center of the worship, and He does wonders for his people. The diversity is also very nice: I don't think there is anyone I've ever met who couldn't find at least a casual friend within the group, maybe a really good one. Don't be afraid to let your colors show here— the members are open minded and undiscriminating. As a philosophy-loving kind of guy, it was something I needed. Even someone who had no experience with Christianity would feel some sense of welcome here. The group also gets together often for fun activities and food— it's nice having somewhere to go every week to see familiar faces, especially given my newness to the area.

Bottom line: a definite recommendation for anyone looking for a friendly and open-minded community centered on Christ.
